The KSA Calendar lists public storytelling events in Kentucky and adjoining states. To submit an event for our calendar, please click here . To be sure your event will be included, submit your listing by the 1st of the month before your event. For example: For August programs, submit information by July 1.
Types of events are designated as follows:
ASL – American Sign Language Interpreted B – Broadcasts C - Competitions (any storytelling
event awarding prizes) K - Events offered by the Kentucky
Storytelling Association P – Performance Y - Events pertaining to youth storytelling Please note that some events offer more than one type of activity.
Weekly
B – A Time for Tales, Sundays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Morehead State Public Radio, 90.3 FM. (Morehead, KY), hosted by Carolyn Franzini. Each week the stories relate to a theme... "Work" "School" "Ghost stories", "Lessons Learned" and more. Listen on the web at www.msuradio.com.
B – Storytelling With Children Podcast and Blog. A national conversation from all perspectives on the profession of storytelling with children. Recorded as a conference call biweekly, Tuesdays at 7 or 8 p.m. Hosted by Eric Wolf, Yellow Springs, OH. Each show features a specific guest and topic. F P - Saturday, June 26, Emerging Teller - The Lehigh Valley Story Festival is a small but growing festival currently planning its seventh year. The 2010 Festival will feature Willy Claflin and Arianna Ross. We are looking for this year’s Emerging Teller, who will open for Willy Claflin. The Festival is held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which is only a 1- 1˝ hour drive from Philadelphia and New York City. All we need to make this festival a big success is YOU! Questions?
