Kentucky Youth Storytelling Showcase:

Thank you for your interest in the Kentucky Division of the National Youth Storytelling Showcase.
- This competition is a statewide effort and the delegated representative in affiliation with the National Youth Storytelling Showcase to develop, encourage, and highlight the talent of your young storytellers.

- Every young person in Kentucky (ages 6 – 18 on February 3, 2011) is eligible to compete in a solo storytelling category and/or as part of a tandem storytelling team.
- Elementary Age / K-5th grade / age 6 by February 3, 2011
- Middle School Age / 6th – 8th grade
- High School Age / 18 or younger on February 3, 2011
- Tandem Teams (teams consist of 2 – 4 tellers, any qualifying age)

Kentucky schools/organizations/families are encouraged to create or participate in local storytelling events, guilds, or local organization showcases in order to discover talented young storytellers.
Any organization/family may select and submit a young storyteller in each competition category.
Organizations in Kentucky include, but are not limited to:
Schools
Public Libraries
4-H Clubs
Scout Troops
Religious Organizations
Local Storytelling Guilds
