Friday, October 19, 2012  - All events in the Arlington Room.

 

7:30 p.m. Registration & Box Office open for Friday Evening Storytelling (outside the Arlington Room)

 

Both the evening concert and the Story Slam are included in your Conference Registration. Or, at the door, pay $5 per person or $10 per family – payment covers both Friday night events.

 

8:00 -- 9:30 p.m. Evening Story Concert, (1.5 Contact Hours) – Arlington room

 

This is an open mike session with each teller allowed up to ten minutes to tell a tale.

 

10:00 – 11:30 p.m. Late Night Story Slam, (1.5 Contact Hours) – Arlington Room

 

Story Slam, a fun timed-story contest style event. Anyone can enter to tell a 5 minute story. Judges assign scores, totals get added, laughter and applause resound through the hall, ties are broken by ever shorter stories: 3 minutes, 2 minutes, I minute – as short as it take to break the tie. Prizes will be awarded. (Included with your Conference Registration or your Friday night concert ticket)
